**This winter Beacon Street conducted a Conservation Report for the Hingham Community Center. The Center is located in the 1718 John Thaxter House. While the
building has seen daily use as a community center for nearly one hundred years and has experience numerous additions and modification since the late 18th-century, much of the first period
construction and finishes survive. The building is a critically important resource for the town of Hingham for both the study of early 18th-century domestic architecture and social
history. It was honored to be trusted with such an important building. Thanks to all at the HCC.
**In mid-September I was appointed to the Cohasset Historical Commission. I am really excited by this appointment and look forward to helping Cohasset protect its
historic context in any way I can.
